Reconnect with Nature & Spirit
Inca Shipiba Healing Center

Inca Shipiba Healing Center, led by renowned Shipibo Maestra Matilde (Kori Beka), offers authentic plant medicine healing in the heart of the Amazon near Nauta, Peru. With 50 years of experience, her deep connection to Ayahuasca and master plants is woven into the powerful Icaros she sings during ceremonies.

Her son, Wilson (Chonon Meni), carries strong masculine energy and is trained in Kambo, while her daughter, Sara (Xetan Beka), brings warmth and joy, sharing healing Icaros with her ukulele.

With the support of bilingual facilitator Juana Gutierrez from Mother’s Love Reiki, Inca Shipiba provides a safe, nurturing space for deep transformation and nurture. Your journey here supports the preservation of indigenous wisdom, allowing you to connect with Grandmother Ayahuasca, the Master Plant Spirits, and the ancestral medicine carried by this devoted family.

Deepen Your Connection: Sacred Plant Dieta

A sacred plant dieta is a traditional practice in which you engage with specific plants known for their powerful healing and spiritual properties. In the Shipibo tradition, these plants, referred to as “Onanyati,” are considered sacred allies that guide you through deep healing, transformation, and spiritual growth. During a dieta, you form a respectful relationship with these master plants, under the guidance of a Shipibo medicine keepers, to receive insights, teachings, and healing on a profound level.

The Shipibo people believe that these plants possess their own consciousness and can communicate with humans, offering protection, guidance, and wisdom. Plants like Bobinsana, Chiric Sanango, Ajo Sacha, and others play an integral role in this process, each offering unique healing qualities, whether for physical ailments, emotional blockages, or spiritual awakening. This relationship is rooted in reciprocity and a deep understanding of the interconnectedness between humans and the rainforest.

A sacred plant dieta is not only a path to healing but also a way to connect with the rich traditions of the Amazon, where plants serve as teachers and protectors, guiding individuals on their journey toward self-discovery and well-being.

Grandmother Ayahuasca

Ayahuasca, a powerful plant medicine used for centuries by indigenous communities in the Amazon, is renowned for inducing transformative experiences, healing, and spiritual growth. Often referred to as the ‘Mother’ or ‘Grandmother,’ it is considered a feminine energy. The plant has been used for centuries, passed down orally by native tribes. The discovery of Ayahuasca’s potent properties—combining the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and Chacruna leaves—allowed it to become a visionary medicine, now shared with the Western world for global healing.

Ayahuasca Brew: Ayahuasca is a ceremonial brew made from two main ingredients: Banisteriopsis caapi (containing harmine) and Chacruna leaves (containing DMT). This combination allows DMT to be absorbed by the body, inducing visionary experiences.

Traditional Use: Indigenous tribes have long used Ayahuasca for healing, spiritual, and cultural purposes in sacred rituals and ceremonies guided by shamans.

Healing and Transformation: Known for facilitating emotional, psychological, and spiritual healing, Ayahuasca helps uncover the roots of distress, trauma, and unresolved patterns, fostering personal growth, self-awareness, and connection to oneself and the natural world. It has shown benefits in healing addictions, trauma, anxiety, depression, and physical illnesses.

Ceremony and Setting: Shipibo Ceremonies are held in a ceremonial space called a Maloka, a traditional indigenous structure crafted from natural materials. Ceremonies are held in a dark environment free of distractions. Participants receive the medicine, share intentions, and stay in private spaces with periodic breaks. Experienced facilitators guide the process with prayers, chants, and sacred songs.

Risks and Challenges: While generally safe in a ceremonial context, Ayahuasca can cause intense emotional and psychological effects, physical purging, and challenging experiences. Staying present and breathing deeply helps manage these moments, and Maestra Matilde, Sara and Wilson and the facilitators provide preparation and support for integration.

Preparation Guidelines: Prior to ceremony, following dietary and lifestyle guidelines ensures a safe and receptive space for the experience.

Integration and Aftercare: Integration involves processing insights gained from Ayahuasca ceremonies. Practices like meditation, journaling, or therapy help integrate the experience into daily life, with support from facilitators or practitioners to ensure a smooth transition.

Ayahuasca ceremonies are approached with respect and guidance in order to receive profound healing and spiritual transformation.
